POSITION SUMMARY WisEngineering is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to support the production and prototyping of electronics assembly and fabrication for current and next-generation fuze systems. This role is critical to the RDT&E process, requiring a high degree of precision in circuit board inspection and the ability to document complex engineering analyses for military applications.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assembly & Fabrication: Support the prototyping and production of electronics assemblies for novel fuze systems.

Quality Inspection: Perform rigorous inspection of circuit boards for defects in strict accordance with IPC-A-600 and circuit board assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610.

Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed reports documenting designs, test results, and engineering analyses for internal teams and Government stakeholders.

Collaborative Engineering: Work alongside subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and customers to identify fabrication issues and drive project success.

Testing & Evaluation: Assist in the testing of electronic components to ensure they meet performance specifications in a defense environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: 3+ years in an electronics technician role, specifically utilizing IPC standards within design, testing, or manufacturing.

Technical Standards: Proven expertise in applying IPC-A-600 and IPC-A-610 standards.

Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance.

Mobility: Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time to support testing or vendor oversight.

Skills: Strong communication skills for technical reporting and high attention to detail for defect recognition.
BENEFICIAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Understanding of Fuze design principles and related MIL-standards.

Proficiency in commercial CAD software such as Altium or Cadence.

Experience with Configuration Management (CM) tools and defense manufacturing processes.
