Primary Role Description
The Item Manager, will be knowledgeable and experienced with US Army objectives and responsible for conducting planning, management and oversight of all assigned program activities. Prepare written assessments of project status and analysis of project events. Provide independent assessments pertaining to the readiness of programs to proceed, the risks and adequacy of the approach being taken. Accomplish system integration and problem solving by organizing, facilitating and leading Integrated Product/Process Teams. Will be responsible to support PM MAS with investment analysis, breakeven analysis, analyzes of information requirements, including evaluation of analytically and systematically problems of workflow, organization, and planning.
Duties and Responsibilities

Provide overarching support to Chief Engineer for review of Technical Data Packages (TDP), Lot Acceptance Tests (LAT), Request for Deviation/Variation and LAT reports for the PdD SAWS portfolio of items

Lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) for assigned programs.

Attend Government Source Inspections (GSI) and Lot Acceptance Testing (LAT) in support of the Product Management office

Evaluate customer requirements and suggest the best solution.

Evaluate proposal delivery orders when assigned.

Evaluate the logistics aspect of submitted proposals to including transportation, packaging and related costs.

Create project plans with required resources and ensure project remains on schedule and within budget.

Prepare programmatic updates and brief as required.

Review and provide input to technical data packages (TDPs), participate in technical discussions, provide technical assessments of new requirements and provide technical direction based on recommendations from supporting organizations.

Participate in weekly meetings, program reviews and attend meetings at USG, contractor, and subcontractor facilities
Required Previous Experience:
Has performed system integration and problem solving by organizing, facilitating and leading Integrated Product/Process Teams. Participate in the development of Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), Performance Specifications (P-Spec) and other Milestone documentation.
Experience with weapons support systems or other dynamic military support systems
Other Requirements:
Candidate must be U. S. Citizen and eligible for Department of Defense Security Clearance (Secret)
Education: BS in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience.
Will require up to 25% travel
