Description

WisEngineering, LLC is currently seeking qualified candidates who will be supporting Department of Defense programs at Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, NJ. 

Key Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED – No exceptions.
  • This is an on-site position 5 days per week at Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, NJ. Remote work is not permitted.
  • Candidates must be local or willing to relocate at their own expense (limited relocation assistance may be available for highly qualified candidates).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.

Armaments Scientist / Engineer

Location: Picatinny Arsenal, NJ (On-site)

Professional Duties

  • Systems Support: Provide engineering support for the research, design, development, and testing of armaments and weapon systems across the full product lifecycle (Material Solution Analysis through Operations & Support).

  • Technical Investigation: Conduct scientific investigations requiring theoretical, analytical, and experimental studies during both the development and production phases.

  • Design & Drafting: Prepare layout and detail drawings from technical instructions, notes, or sketches for routine projects and sub-sections of complex weapon systems.

  • Project Execution: Assist in the preparation and coordination of project proposals to integrate state-of-the-art testing technology and product improvement programs.

  • Problem Resolution: Investigate component, process, and experimental deficiencies; recommend technical solutions to project leaders for mission-critical items.

  • Research & Analysis: Analyze manufacturer publications, technical periodicals, and scientific data to source materials and equipment for high-level engineering tasks.

  • Program Planning: Support the integration of requirements into program plans, including cost estimation, facility needs, and time schedules.

Required Background

  • Education: Professional knowledge of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or General Engineering) or a related scientific field.

  • Technical Theory: Application of scientific and engineering theories, principles, and practical concepts specifically related to armament/weapon system processes.

  • Lifecycle Awareness: Familiarity with the phases of the acquisition lifecycle, including Technology Maturation, Risk Reduction, and Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD).

  • Analytical Capability: Ability to perform specified phases of assignments pertaining to research and design while eliminating technical discrepancies.

  • Documentation Skills: Proficiency in preparing technical drawings, layout details, and program integration records.
