Description

WisEngineering, LLC is actively seeking one or more Technical Writers with knowledge of or experience with Proposal Management to support business development activities.  We are looking for energetic, creative, meticulous writers who are comfortable managing process flows and all aspects of proposal development. Ideal candidates will be familiar with the Shipley process and have knowledge of ISO 9001 standards. Must have relevant experience drafting, editing and researching technical material for US Department of Defense, state and local government agencies.

Start: ASAP
Location: Denville, NJ - Remote, Blended or On site (preferred) 
Rate: TBD - DOE 
Duration: Temporary, Contract  

 
Position Summary: Collaborate closely with Business Area staff, Subject Matter Experts, Proposal Team Members and Corporate Leadership to develop and write compelling technical proposal responses for government and commercial contracting opportunities. Additionally, create content to support other internal business units as required.  

Responsibilities:
  • Research and write original proposal content in response to various US government contract opportunities
  • Participate in proposal development color teams and daily stand-up meetings during proposal development
  • Participate in Bid/NoBid decision making, contribute to capture plan development
  • Lead/Manage various aspects of proposal development, delegating and assigning tasks
Skills and Experience:
  • Familiar with scientific, technical or business writing formats
  • Familiar with Sources Sought, Request for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI). 
  • Proficient reviewing and analyzing solicitations and related documents
  • Expert level MS Office products, primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of or experience with Quality Management Systems
  • Shipley Process a PLUS
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer
