WisEngineering, LLC is currently seeking qualified candidates for a potential upcoming opportunity supporting Department of Defense programs at Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, NJ. - This is an on-site position 5 days per week at Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, NJ. Remote work is not permitted.
- Candidates must be local or willing to relocate at their own expense (limited relocation assistance may be available for highly qualified candidates).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.
Position Overview:
WisEngineering, LLC is seeking IT Support Technicians to provide full-time, dedicated IT support to DEVCOM-AC Headquarters and associated organizations. The selected candidates will be responsible for desktop/laptop setup, network administration, software installation, troubleshooting, and classified system support.
Key Responsibilities:
General IT Support & Systems Administration:
- Provide desktop, laptop, and Portable Electronic Device (PED) support, including:
- OS installation, configuration, and security patching
- Software installation, configuration, and removal
- User network account and email setup
- Troubleshooting and repair for PCs, printers, PEDs, and network issues
- Managing local area network (LAN) and virtual private network (VPN) connections
Classified & Secure Systems Support:
- Support the DEVCOM AC HQ Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Laptop Program, including:
- Ensuring laptops connect to the VPN for at least 2 hours per week to receive updates.
- Submitting helpdesk tickets to ensure users' desk ports are connected to the CSfC VLAN.
- Reporting any failed updates or connectivity issues to the NEC/RNEC.
- Maintain classified workspaces, ensuring both unclassified and classified PCs are powered on, logged in weekly, and updated.
- Possess elevated privileges to perform approved software installations on classified/unclassified systems.
Financial IT Systems & Helpdesk Support:
- Provide dedicated IT system administration support to Financial Management (FM) Infrastructure and its Financial Integrated Reporting Environment (FIRE) system.
- Support FIRE’s two major modules: Execution Reporting and Budget Planning.
- Deliver full-time helpdesk support for IBM Cognos BI, the Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software supporting FIRE.
- Provide GFEBS/LMP support, including helpdesk activities and troubleshooting for both systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in IT support, system administration, and network troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Windows OS, software installation, and network connectivity support.
- Familiarity with classified/unclassified system administration protocols.
- Experience with IBM Cognos BI or other business intelligence software (preferred).
- Understanding of GFEBS/LMP helpdesk functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide support to high-priority users.
