Full Stack Developer – Front-End Focus
Location: 100% On-Site | Picatinny Arsenal – Dover, NJ
Clearance: Must be clearable (U.S. Citizenship required); active Secret clearance is a plus
WisEngineering is seeking a Full Stack Developer with a strong front-end focus to join our team supporting software development and modernization for U.S. government programs. You’ll be part of a collaborative, Agile team delivering secure, scalable web applications that support both cloud-based and on-premise systems.
Position Summary
In this role, you’ll lead the development of modern, responsive front-end interfaces using technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, while working closely with back-end developers to integrate with Java-based APIs and RESTful services. You’ll also contribute to DevSecOps pipelines, automated testing, and configuration management to support secure, efficient software delivery.
This position offers the opportunity to work on meaningful defense and government programs in a structured and mission-driven environment. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working within a highly regulated software engineering lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js)

Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate UI components with Java-based APIs and services

Ensure front-end code adheres to usability, performance, and accessibility best practices

Support the design and maintenance of software libraries and documentation in accordance with Software Engineering Data Package (SEDP) standards

Participate in software testing activities, including test planning, witnessing, and validation

Manage build artifacts (release notes, bug fixes, change logs) under configuration control

Use Atlassian JIRA for task management and tracking

Store documentation in Confluence and collaborate through Microsoft Teams and Azure DevOps

Support CI/CD processes using GitLab, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools

Log and manage support requests through structured ticketing systems
Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js)

Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with Java-based services

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and configuration control practices

Experience with tools like GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps

Strong attention to detail in code quality, documentation, and user experience

Ability to work in a structured, collaborative, and fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience

Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, or mockups in collaboration with designers

Familiarity with style guides, design systems, and accessibility standards

Exposure to cross-browser testing and performance optimization techniques

Participation in code reviews and process improvement efforts

Awareness of emerging front-end technologies and best practices
Education & Clearance Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (required)

Minimum 3 years of front-end or full-stack development experience

U.S. Citizenship required (due to government contract)

Must be eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance; active clearance is a plus
